서울특별시 용산구 서빙고로 185 (용산동6가)

Destination briefing

Why travelers stop here

Yongsan Family Park is a park with a Western-style atmosphere centered around a large lawn and a pond. Historically, it was used as military facilities and residences by Japanese forces, Qing dynasty troops, and Japanese people during the Imjin War, the Imo Incident, the Gapsin Coup, the Russo-Japanese War, and from 1906 to 1945. In 1992, the Seoul Metropolitan Government acquired the site where the UN forces and the US Eighth Army headquarters were established during the Korean War and developed it into a park. Located between Namsan Mountain and the Han River, the park serves as a central park connecting the north-south green axis of Seoul. It offers convenient facilities such as a large lawn, pond, walking paths, restrooms, outdoor sculptures, exercise facilities, and a parking lot, allowing for comfortable relaxation.
