Destination briefing
Why travelers stop here
Naksaeng Park was created alongside the development of Pangyo New Town with the aim of contributing to the health, relaxation, and emotional well-being of citizens. It features a traditional experience forest, a pond, exercise facilities, and pavilion rest areas such as the octagonal Pangyojeong and Naksaengjeong, which offer views of Bundang and Pangyo. Additionally, five tombs from the Unified Silla period to the Goryeo period, excavated from Baekhyeon-dong, Sampyeong-dong, and Sasong-dong, were relocated here and are protected as Seongnam City Local Cultural Heritage No. 12. From this park, Naksaeng High School, located near the former Naksaeng-myeon office where an independence movement took place, is clearly visible. A monument commemorating the anti-Japanese righteous army has also been erected to honor the righteous army members from Seongnam who fought in the anti-Japanese war.
