Tancheon Freshwater Fish Wetland Ecological Park

경기도 성남시 수정구 태평동 7033-1 일대

Destination briefing

Why travelers stop here

Tancheon Taepyeong Wetland Ecological Park was established in 2009 to improve the ecological environment and lay the foundation for restoring the river ecosystem, a core urban ecological axis, by restoring species such as freshwater fish that were endangered due to rapid urbanization and pollution of Tancheon. Five biological habitats, including those for freshwater fish, dragonflies (frogs), and aquatic insects, have been restored. This area is home to plants such as water lilies, lotus flowers, prickly water lilies, maniri, sweet flag, yellow floating heart, chrysanthemum, hosta, goldenrod, reeds, silver grass, and aster, as well as animals such as gold frogs, paradise fish, rice fish, parami, crucian carp, dragonflies, butterflies, and grasshoppers. Facilities include stepping stones, a freshwater fish experience center, observation decks, and ecological trails. Seasonal flowers such as rapeseed, cosmos, barley, and Korean wheat can be seen.
