Why travelers stop here
Opened in 2001, Ansan Botanical Garden has three exhibition halls. In the first exhibition hall, the Tropical Plant Garden, you can see over 100 species of tropical plants including palm trees. In the second exhibition hall, the Central Plant Garden, you can see 177 species of 11 types of wildflowers from Korea's central region, such as Jin-gyeong Sansu and irises. In the third exhibition hall, the Southern Plant Garden, you can encounter wetland plants and edible plants. The outdoor garden features a rose garden with 4 species, a fruit tree garden, a wild plant garden, a plant succession garden, and a pond, offering additional attractions. Notably, Ansan Botanical Garden has a pyramid-shaped glass greenhouse comparable to those of famous foreign botanical gardens. Thanks to this, the plants here can breathe green all year round regardless of the season. Ansan Botanical Garden is located within Seongho Park, close to the city center, providing good accessibility. Nearby attractions include Nojeokbong Park and Danwon Sculpture Park, which are also recommended to explore together.
