Sunae-dong House (Yi Taek-gu House)

The Sunae-dong House is one of the houses of the Hansan Yi clan [韓山李氏], who had long resided in this area before the development of the Bundang New Town, and was the residence of Yi Taek-gu. In the past, the Sunae-dong area formed a village of about 70 households inside the ancestral grave site, among which the Hansan Yi clan constituted a clan village of about 30 households. Currently, due to the development of the Bundang district, all houses have been demolished except for this one. The exact construction date and history of this house cannot be determined, but based on the fact that Yi Taek-gu's great-grandfather moved here and the family lived here for four generations, it is estimated to have been built approximately 150-200 years ago.
