Gonjiam Bandi Forest

A forest experience cultural space located in Sindaeri, Gonjiam-eup, Gwangju-si, Gyeonggi-do. It offers walking trails, a picnic town with cabins, a water play area, and a book café, providing various sights and activities. The eastern side of Biyang Mountain (231.7m) has a well-preserved ecosystem with a colony of hornbeam trees, and it is a clean area where fireflies brighten the night sky. The entrance fee includes the price of a beverage. In summer, the children's water play area is free to use, making it popular. The second floor of the main building houses a café and water play area, while the first floor operates as a book café and arts and culture space. The café offers menus such as coffee, juice, and herbal tea. Cabins and a picnic town are located throughout the forest and can be reserved. It is a great place for a picnic in good weather. Healing in the fir forest, which is over 50 years old, provides a brief rest for weary modern people. There is a walking course of about 30-40 minutes, a medicinal and specialty crop trail of about 1-2 hours, and a hiking trail leading to Mugapsan Mountain (one of the five scenic views among Gyeonggi's eight scenic spots, elevation 580m). There is also a grassy rest area for children's nature experience learning and communal living education.
