Jangheung Sports Park

Located along the Gongneungcheon Stream in Jangheung, Jangheung Sports Park is a sports park equipped with a soccer field and a baseball field, opened in November 2016. Previously lacking proper sports facilities, it was a long-cherished project for local residents. The park features an artificial turf soccer field (105×68m) and an artificial turf baseball field (105×91m). The baseball field was established through a joint construction and use agreement with Eunpyeong-gu, providing an opportunity for citizens of Yangju and Eunpyeong-gu to come together and share recreational sports. Facility management is handled by the Yangju City Facilities Management Corporation, and as it is operated by the city, all facilities, including the artificial turf, are maintained clean and comfortable, such as replacing all nighttime lights with LED lighting in 2023. It is widely loved by children and adult clubs as a sports ground. Online reservations for facility rentals are accepted, and applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis starting every Thursday (13:00), followed by payment of usage fees. Additionally, next to the comprehensive guide map of Jangheung Sports Park, there is a 'Jangheung Gongneungcheon Good Walking Course Guide,' allowing visitors to enjoy a walk before or after exercise. It takes about 15 minutes by car from Tongilro IC and Songchu IC. Across the bridge from the parking lot is Namgyeong Arboretum, a famous autumn foliage spot, and nearby attractions include Bukhansan, Gana Art Park, Duri Land, Yangju City Jang Uk-jin Museum of Art, Songam Space Center, and General Gwon Yul's Tomb.
