Destination briefing

Why travelers stop here

Bukak Sky Palgakjeong is a traditional Korean-style pavilion located on Bukaksan Mountain at an altitude of 342m, boasting a得天独厚的 natural location and serving as a tourist attraction in the heart of Seoul. The Bukak Skyway, opened in September 1968, is a well-known scenic drive course leading to Bukak Palgakjeong, stretching approximately 19km along the ridge of Bukaksan, the main mountain of Seoul. From Bukak Palgakjeong, the mountain range connecting Bibong and Munsu Peak of Bukhansan presents a spectacular view, while on the other side, the beautiful scenery of Seoul city, facing Namsan, can be seen. Throughout the entire section, well-maintained street trees and about 100,000 ornamental trees bloom with flowers according to the seasons, allowing visitors to enjoy a panoramic view of Seoul along with the Namsan circular road. A rest area is also provided near the top of the ridge, where one can pause, reaffirm the true view of Seoul, and take a break. It serves as a tourist course that offers a comprehensive view of Seoul to both domestic and international visitors coming from afar.
