Ansan Multicultural Food Street

About 600 meters from Exit 1 of Ansan Station lies the Ansan Multicultural Village Special Zone. Ansan City is home to over 80,000 foreigners from more than 110 countries, and in the Multicultural Village Special Zone, 88% of the total residents are foreigners. Located in this Multicultural Village Special Zone, the Multicultural Food Street showcases the traditional foods and cultures of immigrants from over 10 countries, including China, Vietnam, India, Nepal, Indonesia, Thailand, Russia, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, and Japan. The Multicultural Food Street is lined with shops selling street food from various countries, Southeast Asian tropical fruits, and ingredients, as well as many stores selling various daily necessities, allowing visitors to experience unique foods and cultures. Next to the Wongokbon-dong Community Center, where the Multicultural Food Street is located, the Foreign Resident Center features signposts indicating directions and distances to various countries around the world. Along with famous global foods, sculptures, parks, and murals greet visitors with the specialized atmosphere of the Multicultural Food Street. This area, ideal for alley travel, is designated as a car-free street 365 days a year, with vehicles prohibited from entering from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, allowing for a more pleasant exploration.
