Book Theme Park Library

Book Theme Park Library is Korea's first space themed around books, opened in November 2005. At the time of opening, it was mainly used as an exhibition space, but after remodeling, it was transformed into a specialized picture book library. The library now features a reading room with a large bookstore atmosphere containing about 8,000 books, a family room where children and parents can spend time together, and a reading club room. In the family room, there is the most popular attraction at Book Theme Park Library: a cat that reads books. By inserting a provided card, you can select from 300 picture books and watch animated storytelling videos. Outdoors, augmented reality experiences are available through eight structures. The eight structures include the Wind Book Sound, Time Book Maze, Hangeul Book, Music Book, Water Book Manpasikjeok, and others. Children aged 7 to 10 can experience the augmented reality of the reading system by using a tablet with a guide every Wednesday and Saturday for 30 minutes, photographing the structures.
