Destination briefing
Why travelers stop here
Yeouido Park, which opened as Yeouido Plaza in 1971 on the site of a former runway, has established itself as a space for various national events and leisure activities. In January 1999, the black asphalt was removed and it was reborn as a green sanctuary. Yeouido Park consists of four spaces: the Natural Ecology Forest, Culture Plaza, Grass Plaza, and Korean Traditional Forest.
Among these, Culture Plaza is where cultural events such as various festivals and performances take place, allowing citizens to participate together. Additionally, the plaza features a flagpole and a plane, an Air Force commemorative sculpture, making it a meaningful place.
