Destination briefing
Why travelers stop here
This is a traditional Korean hanok of the imperial family, originally built in the 1800s and expanded to 99 rooms in 1935. Currently, Yeomgeundang and Jaeunjeong have been relocated to Yeoncheon. It is the only royal experience facility in Korea where visitors can experience traditional hanok while absorbing the energy flowing from the Joseon royal family. At the Joseon Royal House Traditional Hanok Experience Facility, which features well-crafted storytelling about the process of being revealed as a royal house and traditional hanok, visitors can enjoy high-quality experiences such as seasonal traditional music concerts, lotus leaf rice making, medicinal cuisine, oriental medicine discipline therapy, and traditional hanok overnight stays.
