Beoseotguji Village

경기도 가평군 조종면 대보간선로 173

Destination briefing

Why travelers stop here

Beoseotguji Village is a village closer to a mountain village than a farming village, located next to the Jojongcheon Stream, which originates from Yeoninsan Mountain and flows past Unaksan Mountain, famous for its grotesque rock formations. It is situated in Daebori, Hamyeon, Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do. The village's name originates from the old blacksmith shop that made plowshares, a part of the plow used for farming with oxen, which was called 'Igokboseopguji,' and over time it came to be called 'Beoseotguji.' Instead of mushrooms, there are various agricultural products such as Unaksan grapes certified for organic quality, wooreonggi rice, apples, and pears. Nearby tourist attractions include the Morning Calm Arboretum and Kkotmujipulmuji, a hall of wildflowers, and for historical exploration, there are the千年 temple Hyeondeungsa and Jojongam, a Gyeonggi-do monument, offering a joyful experience combining history and nature.
