Samdeok Park

Samdeok Park, a 10-minute walk from Anyang Station, was originally the site of a factory that produced printing paper. Samdeok Paper, which had steadily operated its business for over 40 years from 1961 to 2003, donated this land to Anyang City upon relocating its factory to another area, proposing that it be made into a citizens' park. To commemorate this, a model tower reduced to 33% of the original factory chimney was installed in the center of the park. True to the meaning of the park's creation, which began with a donation for citizens, Samdeok Park has become the closest resting space in the city center. Facilities such as a playground, a picnic square where visitors can enjoy simple food, a ground fountain with cool water streams, and an exercise area serve as a generous resting place not only for Anyang citizens but also for tourists on city tours.
