Deoksugung Stone Wall Path

This is Korea's first case of comprehensively introducing the concept of reorganizing an existing road into a pedestrian-centered road, incorporating a coexistence road for pedestrians and vehicles, and a green road, a lush street space, for pedestrians. The length is 900m. Environmentally friendly clay blocks were used, and granite stone paving was implemented on the roadway to ensure safe pedestrian rights. For citizens' rest areas, 130 trees including zelkova and two other species were planted, and 20 benches were installed. It created a historical streetscape linked with the nearby historical facility, Deoksugung, and improved the street environment. The romantic Deoksugung Stone Wall Path is an excellent place for couples to walk, and with the Seoul Museum of Art and the Seoul Museum of History nearby, it is also perfect for a cultural walking course.
