Destination briefing
Why travelers stop here
Deulmusae is a theme cafe near Gwangneung National Arboretum in Soheul-eup, Pocheon-si. It is a two-story standalone building, with the cafe operating on the second floor. From the entrance leading up to the second floor, countless phallic sculptures line the interior. It is said that the owner created this phallic cafe about 20 years ago because the site had strong yin energy. There are many ceramic and wooden sculptures throughout the interior. Although it is a phallic cafe and may feel obscene, it has a totemistic feel. The atmosphere and menu resemble those of Korean-style Western restaurants from the 1970s and 1980s. There is a dedicated parking lot, making parking convenient.
