Why travelers stop here
This is a top restaurant in Gyeonggi Province, famous for gondrebap (thistle rice) and hanji (Korean traditional paper) crafts. At the main building, Madang, you can enjoy gondrebap set meal and bamboo tube rice with 21 different carefully prepared side dishes that change daily. The thistle herb used in gondrebap is grown at their own farm, and the bamboo tube rice is a nutritious rice made by placing glutinous rice, ginkgo nuts, and various grains inside high-quality bamboo tubes from Damyang. The bamboo tubes are not reused, so you can fully experience the subtle bamboo aroma. The annex, Small Madang, is a space for customers after their meal, where you can see handmade props and everyday ceramics by young artists. Additionally, you can enjoy various seasonal teas for free, such as coffee, sujeonggwa (cinnamon punch), lemon tea, chrysanthemum tea, herbal tea, yuja (citron) tea, and Hovenia dulcis fruit tea.
