Mokkoj Village

The term 'Mokkoji' refers to a gathering of people for play, a feast, or other events. You can pick and eat strawberries to your heart's content and make strawberry jam by simmering them over a gentle fire. In summer, you can enjoy cool water play in Jungwoncheon Stream, catch killifish, and ride a raft. You can also write wishes on paper, attach ginkgo leaf sails, and float paper boats. In autumn, you can experience the joy of harvesting and sharing foods like peanuts and potatoes. The group kimchi-making experience is also popular. In winter, you can ride ice sleds on the frozen Jungwoncheon Stream and enjoy smelt fishing. You can taste freshly made garaetteok (tube-shaped rice cake) and savory injeolmi (bean powder-coated rice cake). Near Mokkoj Village, there is the Yongmunsan Tourist Complex, where you can explore the beauty of Yongmunsan Mountain and the serenity of Yongmunsa Temple. The Freshwater Fish Ecology Learning Center, where you can observe Korea's freshwater fish, is also nearby.
