Why travelers stop here
Gamasot Boribapjip is a Korean restaurant specializing in barley rice located in Majang-myeon, Icheon-si, Gyeonggi-do. The restaurant is spacious and comfortable. It serves rice cooked in a traditional iron pot using Icheon rice, allowing diners to mix it with various namul (seasoned vegetables). You can choose between barley rice, white rice, or a half-and-half mix of both. Before the meal, sungnyung (scorched rice tea) is provided instead of water. The meal comes with five types of namul, sprouts, ssamjang (dipping sauce) for mixing and wrapping, steamed eggs, kongbiji (soybean curd residue), wrap vegetables, and various side dishes. The namul are lightly seasoned and can be refilled. The doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) is served in a ttukbaegi (earthenware pot) and heated over a flame. Jeyuk bokkeum (stir-fried spicy pork) is also a popular menu item, with a beautiful red pepper powder color, balanced seasoning, and a sweet and spicy taste. Within 4 km is Deokpyeong Dinosaur Arboretum, and within 8 km are Seolbong Park, Anheungji, Aeryeonjeong, Bokhacheon Waterfront Park, and several golf courses.
