Gukmin Haejangguk

Gukmin Haejangguk is a hangover soup specialty restaurant located at 94 Ganam-ro, Ganam-eup, Yeoju-si, Gyeonggi-do. The store is bright and clean, and the menu is simple. The signature menu, Seonji Haejangguk (ox blood hangover soup), contains generous amounts of large pieces of ox blood and innards along with napa cabbage and various vegetables. The rich broth is savory and refreshing. For a spicier taste, add the seasoned sauce provided. Auk Doenjangguk (mallow soybean paste soup) is also popular, with soft and plentiful mallow leaves. The soybean paste broth is not too salty and has a well-balanced seasoning, making it savory and umami-rich, perfect for breakfast. Yukgaejang (spicy beef soup) contains plenty of bracken, green onions, and radish, and is spicy yet refreshing, with tender beef in abundance. The egg added to balance the spiciness also complements the dish well.
