Wooseok Museum opened in February 2014 to mark the 15th anniversary of the passing of Master Wooseok Choi Gyu-myeong (1919~1999), a master seal engraver and calligrapher, along with Gallery Chung where his calligraphy works can be seen. The museum displays about 450 seal engraving works by Master Wooseok, as well as his favorite stationery (munbangsau) and antique artworks he collected. Gallery Chung, which exhibits his calligraphy works, rotates over 1,000 pieces and plays a role in showing how seal engraving and calligraphy are developing in relation to contemporary art through various special exhibitions.
