Catholic University of Korea, Seongsin Campus Library

The Catholic University of Korea, Seongsin Campus Library is a specialized theology library with a long tradition. It collects, preserves, and manages materials necessary for various research to fulfill its role as the highest institution for training clergy to lead the Korean church and for Catholic education, providing professors and students with information on research materials. Over 60% of the total collection consists of religious fields and related academic disciplines. The library is a newly built structure in 1995, a modern building with one basement floor and three above-ground floors, equipped with five stacks for browsing general books, rare books, serials, and theses, as well as a reference reading room, audiovisual room, study room, electronic information room, circulation desk, and librarian's office. In 1995, it received the Excellence Award in the Architecture category of the 6th Korea Environmental Culture Awards, gaining recognition not only for functionality and convenience but also for its form and eco-friendliness.
