Gaksasanchon Ecological Village

경상남도 합천군 가야면 야천로 101

Destination briefing

Why travelers stop here

A natural village located near Hapcheon Haeinsa, this area boasts outstanding natural conditions, numerous cultural heritage sites, and Gayasan National Park. Looking into its origins, it was called Gaksa because there was once a temple named Gaksa. No traces of the temple site remain, and detailed records have not been passed down. The fact that Yacheon 2-gu is called Utgaksa (Upper Gaksa) and Hwang-san 1-gu across the way is called Araetgaksa (Lower Gaksa) suggests that there were temples on both sides. The mountain behind offers a beautiful panoramic view, and in front flows the clear stream of Gayacheon.
