Ganwoldo Village

Located in the center of the Seosan A district seawall, Ganwoldo features the approximately 30km-long Cheonsuman Bay to the south and Ganwolho Lake to the northeast, harmoniously blending sea, land, and lake. On the Ganwoldo beach square stands the 'Eoriguljeot Monument,' the first food monument built in Korea. The hermitage Ganworam was founded by Master Muhak and later rebuilt by Master Songmangong as Ganworim, and the name Ganwoldo is said to originate from this hermitage. Ganworam is situated on a small rocky island and can be reached on foot during low tide, which occurs twice a day.
