Gangwon Police Museum

The museum displays artifacts from the establishment of the Podo-cheong (Police Bureau) in the 2nd year of King Seongjong's reign of the Joseon Dynasty, including items used for public security activities, as well as relics imbued with the sorrow and history of protecting residents during the Japanese colonial period's national suffering and the sacrifices of the Korean War. It also exhibits police activities that served as the foundation for economic development in times of stability, and the footsteps toward the world as a service police for the people, creating opportunities for hope and prosperity, arranged by era.
