Destination briefing
Why travelers stop here
A 50-year tradition eel specialty restaurant. The eels (farmed) purchased from Gunsan, Jeollabuk-do are marinated in a sauce made from a blend of about 20 herbal ingredients including licorice, rehmannia root, and angelica root, then grilled over charcoal. The grilled eel is light yet tender. Side dishes such as cabbage kimchi, soy sauce marinated crab, and soybean paste stew are neat and clean. The cozy space like a villa, along with oriental paintings and antique furniture bearing the marks of use, provide visual interest.
