Gubongsan Observatory Cafe Street

Gubongsan Observatory Cafe Street is a scenic spot where you can take in the beautiful city of Chuncheon, surrounded by mountains, lakes, and rivers, all at a glance. Gubongsan, with its nine peaks stretching out in a long line, is located on the eastern outskirts slightly away from the Chuncheon city center, offering a great view of the downtown area. In the 1990s, a road was built along the mid-slope of the mountain, leading to the establishment of cafes and restaurants, and it has now become a cafe street. The cafes here feature floor-to-ceiling glass windows or outdoor terraces to provide natural views. Each cafe has its own unique photo spots, such as buildings reminiscent of Santorini, Greece, and a skywalk observatory. Among the upscale cafes, there are also budget-friendly rest stops where you can enjoy canned coffee and janchi guksu (noodle soup), offering a variety of choices. You cannot miss the bright daytime scenery or the sunset views painted in twilight colors.
