Destination briefing
Why travelers stop here
Gubongsan is a mountain that wraps around the eastern part of Chuncheon-si like a folding screen, forming the boundary between Gamjeong-ri, Janghak-ri, and Mancheon-ri in Dong-myeon. It is named Gubongsan because it has nine peaks. Its height is 441.3m, and from the summit, you can see the Chuncheon city area, Bonguisan, and Uiamho Lake at a glance. The hiking course starting from across the observatory rest area, passing the summit, and leading to Myeongbong is particularly popular. It is also known as the best place to enjoy the night view of Chuncheon-si, so on summer nights, citizens often visit here to escape the heat.
