Why travelers stop here
Damdaheon is a rice cake experience education center located in Geomundol (Black Stone) Village, Sangok-dong, Uijeongbu-si, Gyeonggi-do. It was established by Master Park Kyung-ae, a Gyeonggi-do designated rice cake master, and opened on October 23, 2009. Damdaheon offers experience programs such as rice cake making (rice cake cake), yanggaeng making, meju making, jang making, kimchi making, and tofu making, as well as a weekend farm (annual distribution). Through hands-on experiences, it aims to promote healthy Korean food to children and adolescents who have diets centered on instant and Western foods, and to widely promote Korean rice cakes so that families can easily make and enjoy them using Damdaheon's simple rice cake recipes. Going forward, Damdaheon will continue to develop new rice cake recipes and designs to globalize Korean rice cakes. Damdaheon was designated as an Excellent Experience Space by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs on December 24, 2010.
