Cheonghak Valley Resort was originally known as 'Cheonghakdong Valley' and was a popular summer destination. Unlike other valleys, Cheonghak Valley Resort features a sand playground and gravel paths, giving it a beach-like feel. It is truly a natural playground in the city. Cheonghak Valley had previously been inconvenient due to unauthorized restaurants and seating fees caused by the large number of visitors. To address these issues, Namyangju City promoted a river garden project, and in 2020, it was reborn as 'Cheonghak Beach'. Furthermore, by supplementing Cheonghak Beach, it reopened as Cheonghak Valley Resort in 2021, allowing visitors to enjoy a safer and more convenient summer retreat.
