Why travelers stop here
Bomnae-gil Course 7 is a walking course along the 2.1 km old railway track connecting the former Gangchon Station and the former Baegyang-ri Station on the Gyeongchun Line, which opened in 1939. The former Baegyang-ri Station is located on a riverside with a wide plain, offering excellent scenery, and is currently the only island-type station in Korea, along with Paldang Station on the Jungang Line, where the station building stands on the platform. Following the valley in the middle of the course leads to Madangjae, a wide and flat area like a yard where slash-and-burn farmers lived in the 1960s and 1970s.
