Daeshin Market

A traditional market located in Singil-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. It opened in 1965 and is a shopping mall-type market with nearly 60 years of history. Singil-dong faces Yeouido across the Saetgang River, and in the past, it was said to be a transportation hub with the Banghakhojin ferry dock serving as an entry point to Seoul. As a result, people and goods gathered, and a market naturally formed. Today, the area is densely populated with apartment complexes and residential neighborhoods, attracting many visitors, and it fulfills its role as a warm and generous traditional market.
