Seongbuk-dong Gupo Guksu

A noodle restaurant located on the noodle street leading up to Seongbuk-dong. This restaurant serves a broth made by boiling anchovies from the South Sea and dasima (kelp) from Wando, which is brought to the table in a kettle and poured directly into the bowl while still boiling. The noodles, cooked to order, have a chewy texture. In addition to anchovy noodles, various other menu items are available, and the restaurant's bossam (boiled pork wrap), samhap (assorted seafood and meat platter), and pajeon (green onion pancake) are as famous as the anchovy noodles.
