Why travelers stop here
Son Guksu is an old noodle restaurant located in Seongbuk-dong, Seongbuk-gu. It is famous for its kalguksu (knife-cut noodles) with a rich meat broth, and has been featured on several TV programs. When ordering, simple side dishes of kimchi and stir-fried garlic stems are provided. The noodles for the signature kalguksu are made directly by the owner. To ensure a clean broth, the noodles are boiled twice, eliminating any flour smell and resulting in a non-thick kalguksu. In addition to the signature kalguksu, there are also boiled pork slices (suyuk), octopus, and pan-fried fish, which go well with the noodles. It is enjoyable to choose according to your taste.
