The village's mountain spirit ritual, held annually for 500 years without a single omission to pray for the village's peace and prosperity, is the trace of the great ancestors who made the Haeju Oh clan a prestigious family over the 500-year history. It is a village of feng shui geography naturally formed along the three-water acupuncture point of feng shui at the foot of Goseongsan Mountain behind the village. Additionally, it is a well-preserved village with 19 large and small grave sites filled with the descendants' respect for their ancestors, and traditional customs of the village that have upheld loyalty, filial piety, and propriety with the spirit of a seonbi (classical scholar). It has been a clan village of the Haeju Oh clan since ancient times, possessing related cultural and historical resources as well as outstanding natural, ecological, and human resources. Moreover, it is a village that played a very important role in modern history as a base for the March 1st Movement, and Anseong Seonbi Village lives while cherishing and preserving the seonbi spirit, culture, and history.
