In the 1990s, as the Pyeongchon New Town was developed, a food town began to form around Guiin-dong and Sinchon-dong, with a road in between. It is the most visited food village by the people of Anyang for weekend dining out. As many as about 100 restaurants are clustered here, offering such a diverse selection that it is hard to find a menu item that is missing. There are countless types, including grilled eel, tuna sashimi, spicy seafood stew, clam hot pot, stir-fried cuttlefish, whole chicken, and ramen.
