Hwaseong Fortress Tourist Trolley

Hwaseong Eocha is a tourist train that circulates the main points of interest of Hwaseong Fortress in Suwon, a UNESCO World Heritage site, helping visitors experience the beauty and historical significance of Hwaseong Fortress in a more convenient and interesting way. The train is designed as a modern reinterpretation of the car actually used by Sunjong, the last emperor of the Korean Empire, and the royal palanquin of the Joseon Dynasty, boasting a unique appearance that harmonizes tradition and modernity. Hwaseong Eocha operates on a circular route starting from Yeonmudae, passing through major military facilities and historical sites of Hwaseong Fortress, and returning to Yeonmudae. It consists of a total of 4 cars (1 power car, 3 passenger cars) and can carry about 36 passengers at a time. The train runs at a leisurely speed of around 20 km/h, allowing passengers to slowly enjoy the fortress walls and cultural heritage outside the window. It is especially useful for families, the elderly, children, and visitors who have difficulty walking, and during the ride, audio guides and historical commentary are provided at key points, offering significant educational value.
