Why travelers stop here
It is a detached vein from the mountain range that runs from Soyo Mountain in the north to Dobongsan Mountain and Bukhansan National Park in the south, and is the guardian mountain of Yangju City. Yangju City has Sincheon Stream on its northwest side and is the area with the widest flatland in the northern part of Seoul. As a city in the form of an intermontane basin surrounded by mountain ranges, it has a topography of high south and low north. The southern part, Baekseok-eup, Yangju City, is high, while the northern parts, Eunhyeon-myeon and Gwangjeok-myeon, are low, causing Sincheon Stream to flow northward and join the Hantan River via Dongducheon City. There are mountains 400–500 meters high in various places, offering beautiful scenery. It takes about 9 minutes by car from Goam IC. Nearby attractions include Jangheung Tourist Site (Cheongam Folk Museum, Gana Art Center, Duri Land, Yangju City Jang Wook-jin Museum of Art, Yangju City Min Bok-jin Museum of Art, Songam Space Center, etc.), Songchu Resort, Ilyeong Resort, Bukhansan National Park, National ASEAN Natural Recreation Forest, Philux Lighting Museum, and Hoeamsa Temple Site.
