Why travelers stop here
Tuff refers to rock formed when volcanic ash ejected into the air during a volcanic eruption falls and hardens. The Jijangsan Tuff was formed during the Cretaceous Period of the Mesozoic Era, and the tuff observed in the valley area exhibits diverse types and sedimentary structures, making it highly valuable for education and scenery. The Jijangsan Valley, located on Jijangsan Mountain, features small waterfalls and ponds, making it a popular destination for summer vacationers. Within the valley, the Bogasanseong Fortress site remains, which is said to have been established by Gung Ye in the past.
