Destination briefing
Why travelers stop here
This temple is named Baengnyeonsa because it is said that Yongmunsan and Myeongjisan mountains are visible, and several mountains such as Daegeumsan, Unaksan, Cheonmasan, Chuknyeongsan, and Seorisan surround it like a lotus flower. Although it does not have a long history of foundation, it is famous as a Templestay destination. The entrance to Baengnyeonsa Temple is located inside a natural forest full of pine trees, and the sunlight filtering through the trees is very beautiful. The representative halls of this place include the Daeungjeon (Main Buddha Hall) in the center, Samseonggak (Three Sages Hall) to the right of Daeungjeon, Uhajeong (Rain Flower Pavilion) to the left, and Gobuldang (Ancient Buddha Hall) and Sumibota (Sumi Treasure Pagoda) in front.
