Why travelers stop here
Jangheunghoegwan has been in business for over 40 years since opening in 1982 at a single location. The secret know-how has been passed down to the son, who now runs the restaurant as the second generation. In 2023, it was selected as a Gyeonggi Norpo (old restaurant), and it is the only restaurant in the Icheon area of Gyeonggi Province to receive this designation. It has also been selected as a Baeknyeon Store (century-old store). The representative menu items at Jangheunghoegwan are cha-nak-gop jeongol (beef brisket, octopus, and tripe hot pot), nakji-gopchang jeongol (octopus and tripe hot pot), and chadol-gopchang jeongol (beef brisket and tripe hot pot). Cha-nak-gop jeongol is a hot pot made with beef brisket, octopus, and tripe, and its rich broth is excellent. Only fresh octopus is supplied, and it is directly inspected and prepared. Additionally, all side dishes served with the meal are made in-house. With a spacious dining area and private rooms available, it is ideal for group dining such as year-end company dinners, group gatherings, and family meetings.
