Yeosu Sea Eel is a specialty eel restaurant in Gungnae-dong, Bundang, that sources directly from the production area. It sells grilled eel, but the popular menu item is the specialty conger eel shabu-shabu. The conger eel, called 'hamo,' caught in the southern sea from late spring to early autumn, is a type of sea eel. The eel shabu-shabu is only sold during the season from May to October. The wild sea eel is available as charcoal-grilled or seasoned grilled. The seasoning can be chosen as soy sauce or gochujang (red chili paste). The raw conger eel is best eaten with fresh kimchi on top of onions for a good food pairing. For dessert, there are kalguksu (noodle soup) and porridge.
