The National Theater of Korea was established on April 29, 1950, as Asia's first national theater. It is the only production theater in the country that creates traditional art as contemporary art, featuring the large-scale 'Haeoreum Theater (1,221 seats)', the medium-scale 'Daloreum Theater (512 seats)', the small-scale 'Byeoloreum Theater (100 seats)', and the 'Haneul Theater (627 seats)' with a circular stage structure.<br />Its resident artistic companies include the National Changgeuk Company of Korea, the National Dance Company of Korea, and the National Orchestra of Korea, engaging with the public through various new works and repertoire pieces.<br />Since introducing a repertoire season system in September 2012, it has driven balance and harmony in the performing arts ecosystem as a representative performing arts institution in Korea, through collaboration with its resident companies as well as domestic and international arts organizations.<br />Address: 59, Jangchungdan-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul (Jangchung-dong 2-ga)
