Gurim Jang-eo

Gurim Jang-eo is a restaurant specializing in eel and freshwater spicy stew, located on the hill at Baealmi Samgeori in front of Paldang Dam in Hanam-si, Gyeonggi-do. The garden is well-decorated, and large jars on the jangdokdae (fermentation crock terrace) give the impression that this is a restaurant with a 30-year tradition. Being near Paldang Dam, the view is also good. The eel is grilled over charcoal, so it doesn't leave a smell on your clothes and is easy to eat. You can order it seasoned, with soy sauce, or salted grilled according to your taste. The freshwater spicy stew is also refreshing and delicious, often enjoyed together with the eel.
