Sanmaeul Folk Village

Sanmaeul Folk Village is a Korean restaurant located in Bisandong, Anyang-si, Gyeonggi-do. The spacious venue is comfortable and features a traditional atmosphere with clay walls, wooden pillars, and rafter interiors. Every corner exudes old charm, offering plenty to see like a museum. Inside, there is a main hall as well as ondol rooms. The signature dish, barley rice, is served with basic side dishes along with various namul (seasoned vegetables) and doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) to mix together. The nutritious stone pot rice comes with grilled croaker and 12 types of namul, so it is plentiful and includes nurungji (scorched rice). The pajeon (green onion pancake) is generously filled with squid, thick and crispy, making it savory. Acorn jelly is also popular, with the jelly and various vegetables in a delicious seasoned sauce that whets the appetite. Sanmaeul Folk Village uniquely offers pork cutlet on the menu, popular among guests with children. The thick meat is fried tender and crispy, served with barley rice, and the portion is generous. Within 6km, there are Baegun Lake, Gwacheon National Science Museum, and Pyeongchon Central Park.
