Why travelers stop here
Choi Mi-ja Seolleongtang is a specialty restaurant for ox head soup. Starting in 1981 with a single menu item of ox head soup, this restaurant was selected as a top restaurant in Gyeonggi Province in 2000. It offers a generous serving of ox head meat in a rich broth made by simmering a mixture of Korean beef, domestic beef, and dairy cow bones for a long time. The menu consists of only two items: ox head soup and boiled pork slices (suyuk), but there is always a wait during meal times. At the counter, you tell the staff the number of people, receive a ladle with a waiting number, and wait until your number is called. Choi Mi-ja Seolleongtang closes early when ingredients run out.
