Ungiseok 9020 (Ungiseok 9020 Cooperative)

Ungiseok 9020 is a place that produces, sells, and offers experiences of jewelry, household goods, and interior accessories using ungi-seok (mica schist), a natural mineral mined only in Jeongseon, Korea. The origin of ungi-seok began in 1990 when the founder inherited the business run by his father, and restarted in 2020 by collaborating with friends who purely love ungi-seok through the Tourism Dure project. Ungi-seok was formed when the land of Jeongseon, which was a sea hundreds of millions of years ago, protruded and became land, and the mudstone and seaweed from the deep sea floor clumped together over a long period into a fossil beneficial to our bodies. It is a healthy gemstone with naturally beautiful wood grain patterns and germanium and mineral components. Currently, souvenirs and experiences incorporating designs unique to Jeongseon are being developed, and in the future, various experience programs will be held using the mine they own.
