Chuncheon Myeongdong Street is a bustling downtown area similar to Seoul's Myeongdong, with government offices such as the Gangwon Provincial Office and Chuncheon City Hall, as well as major banks. The street is lined with various shops including clothing stores, cosmetics stores, shoe stores, cafes, and restaurants. In the central area, a monument commemorating the filming location of the drama 'Winter Sonata' is installed. There are various cultural and shopping facilities such as M Department Store, Brown 5th Avenue, and a movie theater. Beneath the central rotary, a large underground shopping center with over 350 stores is established. Centered around Myeongdong, Dakgalbi Alley, Yukrim Hill, and Chuncheon Central Market are connected, offering a variety of activities.
