Ganghwa Literature Museum is a literature museum located in Ganghwa-gun, Incheon Metropolitan City. It was established according to the will of the late essayist Jo Gyeong-hui, who was from Ganghwa. The museum houses approximately 8,000 items donated by Jo Gyeong-hui to Ganghwa-gun. Ganghwa Literature Museum consists of an exhibition hall on the first floor and the Jo Gyeong-hui Essay Literature Museum on the second floor. The first-floor exhibition hall introduces works of ancient writers associated with Ganghwado Island, such as Yi Gyu-bo, Jeong Cheol, and Jeong Je-du, who left their mark on Korean literary history. The second-floor essay literature museum displays Jo Gyeong-hui's handwritten manuscripts, his desk and glasses used during his lifetime, and about 40 pieces of art as his personal effects. Ganghwa Literature Museum opens and operates various literature classes and lectures, and continues to strive for the revitalization of local literature as a venue for literary creative education.
