Gimpo Daemyeong Port

Gimpo Daemyeonghang is a local fishing port in Gimpo City, where seafood is sold directly at the fish market. It faces the Ganghwa Island coast, offering sea views. In spring, small octopus and blue crabs are available, while in late autumn, fat blue crabs and shrimp are sold, attracting many tourists. There are also festivals unique to Daemyeonghang. Every year on the first full moon of the lunar calendar, the Pungeoje (bountiful catch festival) is held. The Pungeoje includes rituals praying for the village's peace and resolving the historical pains surrounding the West Sea. Additionally, seasonal festivals like the Great Prawn Festival in autumn provide abundant sights and fresh food.
